I always wondered what happened to these magazines…

I work in the Children’s Toy and Licensing Industry almost exclusively. In the early part of my career I read these and several other industry mags religiously. In fact I have a closet full of them to this day (I have to throw those things out). I knew some of the behind the scenes drama at these two but that was the tip of the cheap plastic ice burg.
