So, for the new year I decided to step it up. The first deal was getting a new agent. In addition to getting new work I wanted someone to help me sell the things that I created book wise. I have a number of children’s books that I’ve written as well as a graphic novel that I penned over the pandemic. This year I plan to create the visuals for these properties and create sales packages for them.
You may not know that there are some publishers who don’t take un-agented manuscripts. Of course there are a great many that do but I wanted to include everyone when I begin to send things out. Hence the agency, that has many more connections in the industry.
I have many connections in the industry from years of working for these folks but I feel like not having an agent has been holding me back a bit. Of course I’ll still have to market & contact people but now I’ll have someone that knows what their doing help me with that monumental task.
Hopefully, 2024 will be a year of creativity and I’ll earn more of a profit! Money, money, money… That’s the name of the game, right! In addition to my properties, I have a new business launching with some partners (who are also artists). You’ll hear a lot more about that in the days to come.
