Now this… This was really challenging and fun and tested my character design skills. Basically, I was approached to do baby versions of all Major League Baseball’s existing mascots. Now, if the particular team didn’t have a mascot then I was to create some generic teddy bear mascots (which I will post separately). So, the first thing I did was look at a bunch of baby poses online. from there I picked the best ones & began to sketch the characters. Once the poses were approved I went ahead and drew all the mascots in pencil. Once the team approved those I went ahead & inked & colored them. Took me a bunch of back & forth for month with the team!
