So, the Disney company just came out with is trailer of their upcoming tv shows. Ok, I have to transparent here. I just cancelled my subscription to Hulu 7 Disney plus. Well, the email I signed up with doesn’t exist anymore so I really couldn’t cancel so much as I stopped payment to them via PayPal. I did that because quite frankly everything that they’ve been putting out lately has sucked… really bad. I really stopped watching the app all together so, it was like paying for nothing. I will however check out all the stuff in this trailer as it comes out and if it’s actually worth it I’ll consider a return to the platform… at some point.
Now, of course I’m actually called by the heavens to watch Daredevil Returns because I was such a big fan of the Netflix series & pretty much everyone is returning. Now, this doesn’t mean it will be good but I’ll watch it and see. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they don’t make Daredevil a woman. After all this is Disney we’re talking about.
Now, I did enjoy the “What If” show. I thought the animation style was unique & the show was actually well written but who knows with this season. We’ll have to see. There’s an Iron Heart trailer in there as well. I have to tell you I’m not excited about it AT ALL. I’ll give it a shot but I have very little hope for it. I hope I’m wrong. I really do. The comic book was decent. I hope they capture that. But like I said, this is Disney.
The new Spiderman show actually looks good from what little I can see of it. The only thing I can hope is that it’s well written.They are also pushing the fact that they are putting Deadpool & Wolverine on their app. Now, that movie I love. I’ve actually seen it about 3 times and I have to tell you the cameos were just spectacular. And when Wolverine actually put a comic accurate mask on i just about lost it. No more spoilers!!!but trust me if you haven’t seen it watch it!
There is also a Wonderman trailer, it doesn’t look great. I’ll check out the first show and see what’s going on but that’s all I’m promising. Again we’ll have to hope it’s well written… and it looks like it isn’t. Now look I’m an African American or black if you will. Of course I want to see more diversity in Hollywood. However, I grew up with the character looking and acting a certain way. So, I said that so let me say this, why not use one of the existing black characters instead of doing a race swop and hoping for the best. Remember a little movie called Blade? Or better yet, create a NEW black character, make him cool and rock with that! I think that would work a lot better, I really do.
In closing I see a Wakanda show and some marvel Zombie stuff which looks good but we’ll see. The only thing I can do is watch this stuff and report back to you. I can honestly say that a return to Disney plus is not looking good but there is hope! Let’s hope they don’t screw this up the way they’ve screwed up Star Wars. Uggghhh Star Wars… RIP… See ya next time!
